Cypress Stake and Lath was founded in May of 1997 in Seven Persons Alberta, Canada. The company started as a 1 man operation that had to overcome tremendous hurtles in order to sustain viability in a very soft oil and gas market. With $12 oil and $2.50 natural gas futures there was not much optimism in these sectors. The survey industry was not as robust as it had been in earlier years and it seemed as there may not be much need for wooden stakes at that time. However, Pat Doyle, saw a niche in a market that needed to be streamlined and focused his time, money and efforts on a goal. That goal was to provide a superior product while offering “over the top” service that the oil and gas sector demands. That goal is what Cypress Stake and Lath Ltd. upholds today.
